Why You Owe Your Ego An Apology

Have you been struggling to overcome your ego?

What if I told you that your ego is your greatest ally on your path to awakening?

Hard to believe, right?

Your ego had a very specific job to do that has helped you reach this point in your life.

That job is now obsolete.

If you want to live a consciously awakened life, your ego is going to need new instructions.

Let’s start by exploring how we got to this point of battling our ego:

The ego, is a natural result of our expanding consciousness that allows us to experience the gifts of Earth.

Responding to the emotions of fear and anger was the ego’s job; because in the days of survival, fear indicated a threat to our lives.

And that little ego of yours did well by you.

For this great experiment to work, the ego was created with the primitive instinct to stay “alive” at all costs.

Think about this, the “ego” as we have come to call it is the primitive instinctual part of us that is focused on survival.

Since the beginning of time (or should we say the creation of time) this part of us has had the sole purpose of keeping us “alive” in the illusion of separateness.

The exploration of the full spectrum of emotions available on Earth, was contingent on the soul’s perception of individuality and separateness.

The Ego or Primitive Self’s job was to keep humanity alive long enough to explore and learn.

Consider the stories of people who have had near death experiences. Most report being consumed by light and love.

In a sense, death is the loss of our individual awareness and the expansion into One-ness.

Since humanity began, this expansion was associated with releasing the body to physical death.

Our ego has worked diligently to keep us away from that light, that expansion, that one-ness.

The closer we get to pure surrender and union with All That Is, Source Energy, the more the Ego Self cries out to be heard.

Now, we are here, having explored the world of Earth and all its magnificent senses and emotions, and we are waking up and remembering that we are One with Creation, that we were never separate.

Yet we feel the need to fight against the very part of us that led us to this point as a human race.

This is an illusion.

If the ego is something to fight against or overcome, then it is not of Source Energy, and that is impossible because Source Energy is all there is.

What happens when you recognize that even the ego is Source Energy?

You pour Love into this part of Creation, and as you remember you are Creative Source Energy, the ego expands into your highest self and you become a super human!

Anger becomes passion, fear becomes excitement, guilt becomes surrender, greed becomes service, sex becomes creation…and you are whole again, as you have always been.

You begin to experience the bliss of being Consciousness on Earth.

You become the sight, scent, voice, taste, and touch of Creation, and you offer back to All That Is, the ecstasy of loving Creation with completeness.
