How Sense8 Fans Are Changing The World
The Series
In a time of political upheaval, with important protests and causes around every corner, the rally to save a single Netflix series may seem far from significant, but in fact it is one of the most impacting wins of the year.
The story of Sense8 focuses around the psychic connection of eight strangers, each from a different culture and part of the world. These strangers eventually discover they form a cluster of “sensates”; human beings who are mentally and emotionally linked, able to sense and communicate with each other, as well as share their knowledge, language and skills through dreams and telepathy.

The Tipping Point
For decades, the Wachowski Twins (known for their film The Matrix) have been using their gifts to evolve the collective consciousness of our world.
I’ve been silently rooting them on, praying for the world to catch up to their wisdom and insights.
Finally, with Sense8, the world fell into the majestic wonder of their inner visions. The Sensates awakened the inner knowing of millions of people from around the world.
The Sucker Punch
I was still basking in the finale of season 2 when the news that Netflix was cancelling the series hit me in the gut like a sucker punch.
I felt deflated. A flicker of despair rose inside of me, as I wondered if our world would ever move beyond the plot of war, destruction and fear of diversity.
The Miracle
Passionate fans from around the world, joined together in a collective call for Netflix to bring back Sense8.
Netflix’s statement of refusal only amplified the creative force of fans who connected through social media to demand in one voice that “Sense8” continue.
The energy Sense8 embodies now reflected in real-time as strangers from around the world, joined heart strings to create a wave of intention.
This voice of passion was answered.
In an open letter, Lana announced:
“Improbably, unforeseeably, your love has brought Sense8 back to life,”
She continued…
“In this world, it is easy to believe that you cannot make a difference; that when a government or an institution or corporation makes a decision, there is something irrevocable about the decision; that love is always less important than the bottom line. But here is a gift from the fans of this show that I will carry forever in my heart: while it is often true those decisions are irreversible, it is not always true.”
How will this change our world?
Sense8 is more than entertainment, it is a consciousness.

One of my favorite moments is when I gaze into my empty fridge and pantry (which happens a lot when I am immersed in a creative project) then putting odd random ingredients together, I create a delectable masterpiece.
When I heard about this show on Netflix called Sense8 I had asked the group I was with “what is this show you speak of?” They encouraged me to watch it. I signed up for Netflix and started watching Sense8. Can I say OMG!? I was HOOKED. I so identifed with the concept of this show. It was as if I was part of every one of the characters because in essence we all have the ability to be consciously connected. I have had this knowing since I was a child. The sad part is as a child I thought everyone openly had this gift until I found out that was not the case. As a result I shut it down. It wasn’t until a few years ago I opened back up to this connection and use it in a positive way to do energy work in remote locations. I am actually there working on someone who has requested energy work. Thank you Sheila for writing this. Thank you Sense8 for showing us that this consciousness is REAL!
Todd~ Thank you for sharing, I think many people have similar experiences to you because this really is our natural state of being. How silly that we are taught to forget. Celebrating not only our differences but also our innate gifts is a game changer!
I first started watching Sense8 late May. I had never heard of it before but the picture on it was colorful and the info on it seemed intriguing. After about 3 episodes in I fell in LOVE with it! My boyfriend woke up late afternoon as I was already half way through the 1st season on my first day of watching. looked at me and said “you must be really into this show cause u have that look on your face when your obsessed with a show” . I have never loved anything so much in my life. My whole heart and my soul fell in love. The thought that one show or should I say “piece of art” had The power to bring millions on people together is just beautiful.. when I heard the news it was cancelled I cried: I’m not even ashamed that me a 26 year old woman broke down in tears because a show was cancelled: but we fought; we fought so dam hard. And I am so proud to be a part of this cluster around the world. The love we all have for each other is just astonishing. Together there’s nothing we can’t do!
Ciara~ As I read your words, I could feel my heart pulsing with waves of love. There are so many who feel exactly as you do. To have a show touch hearts and souls on such a profound level is an incredible thing. Isn’t Sense8 Awesome!?! I think it is a masterpiece that slipped by many people. Fortunately we do have a 2.5 hour special coming soon that the cast members say is a perfect ended in that it ties up loose ends but leaves things open for more specials or seasons in the future. Oh my God, where do I begin? I had chill bumps the whole time I watched this show… We get them when we feel absolute truth, which is what this show is. It if everything I’ve been wanting and looking for in life, I’m so serious. It’s a spiritual Awakening, the fight of light versus darkness, the God particle… These guys are on to something…I wish if I could work with and connect to them somehow. Anyways, I’ll definitely be going down a rabbit hole with this one! Big love to you all ?
